Upon completion, it will become the tallest large-scale mass timber building in California, showcasing California's leading position in building material innovation and sustainable development. The project is planned as a 19-story multi-family residential building, integrating residential, office, and commercial functions. It includes 182 residential units to meet diverse housing needs; the ground floor is planned with 15,000 square feet (sf) of office and retail space, complementing the surrounding commercial facilities and enhancing the vitality of the area. To optimize the living experience, a landscaped garden is designed on the 7th floor, creating a natural and comfortable public space and achieving harmonious integration of architecture and nature.
The project construction strictly adheres to California's updated building codes, leveraging the relaxed requirements for high-rise timber structures in the new code to break through the height limitations of traditional timber structures, creating a benchmark project that is safe, practical, and innovative. As a supporting supplier, we provided UPC's most popular Pin Lever (PL) series products for the 7th-floor landscaped garden and related areas. II. Project Challenges

1. As the tallest large-scale mass timber building in California, the project is affected by the geological conditions of the Pacific Ring of Fire earthquake zone in California, requiring extremely high seismic performance. 2. California has a Mediterranean climate, with hot and dry summers and frequent wildfires, posing strict requirements on the fire resistance and moisture resistance of building materials.
